Winiford T. ‘Tom’ Millington Obituary, Death – Winiford T. “Tom” Millington, a beloved resident of Corinth, died on December 1, 2023, at Saratoga Hospital, after a courageous fight with leukemia. He was 82 years old. Many people will always remember Tom Millington, who was born on August 1, 1941, in South Corinth to parents Milford “Bill” and Pauline, as a pillar of the community and a dedicated family man. To those closest to him, Tom was affectionately known as “Winnie.” He was a graduate of Corinth High School and had an extraordinary impact on the world around him.

His 61-year marriage to Kathryn Skinner is evidence of the power of love and devotion. Tom worked for the International Paper Co. in Corinth for more than 40 years and was an esteemed member of the IP Quarter Century Club during that time. In addition to his successful career, Tom possessed many other talents, including being an accomplished mechanic, a beautiful dancer, a dedicated cowboy, and an enthusiastic outdoorsman.

He was a model of altruism because he spent many hours at the Corinth Little League field, which is still in use today, digging, building, and coaching. Tom leaves behind his beloved wife, Kathryn, three children—Robin Millington (Sara), Stephen Millington (Marie), and Christopher Millington (Kim)—as well as cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and loving relatives. On December 5th, a memorial service honoring Tom’s life will be held at Densmore Funeral Home, Inc.

Pastor Becky Brady will officiate the service, and burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in South Corinth. Dr. John Mongan, the Saratoga Cancer Group, and the entire oncology unit/A3 staff at Saratoga Hospital have our deepest gratitude from the family. Tom was a man whose kindness, generosity, and commitment to his loved ones will live on in the memories of everyone who had the honor of knowing him. Corinth honors his memory.
